Meet the Maker
I’m Zack Scheib, the whimsical chaos gremlin and creator-god-in-training exploring the wonders of existence while trying, and occasionally succeeding, to live by a simple core value: leave the world a better place than when you arrived.
When I’m not light-years away in my mind devising the cooking techniques of ogres or discovering the bonds between sea elves and their leviathan ships, you can find me enjoying simple creature comforts: sharing good food with my husband, reading fantasy and science fiction books, watching isekai anime, and playing games like Skyrim, Age of Mythology, and Minecraft.
The Story Behind the Craft
I have always found systems fascinating. From mineral cycles and food webs to resource distribution and cultural trends, the how and why of the way everything connects to everything else has always drawn my curiosity. The more we come to understand the relationships between all things, the more we are able to make decisions, as individuals and as a global community, to steer our world toward a prosperous, ethical, and beautiful evolution.
Art, writing, and worldbuilding have always been my media of choice. This trifecta has allowed me to engage creatively as an amateur philosopher. Through speculative narrative and design, I better understand how our reality functions by comparing and contrasting it to infinite possibilities of how it could work; all the better if my efforts bring more beauty, whimsy, and thought-provoking work into being.
